Kari Hamada

Kari Hamada holds a Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida. She also holds a Distinction in Grade 8 Voice from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London, England.

Ms. Hamada serves as Director of Music and Worship at Church of the Palms in Sarasota, where she directs the 70-member Chancel Choir, is launching a new Children’s Music Ministry, and coordinates additional musical ensembles and special musical events. She also serves as Artistic Director of the Sarasota Choral Society, where she conducts a 140-member chorus in its annual performance of Handel’s Messiah.

A certified K–12 music educator, Ms. Hamada has taught music in public schools in both the United States and abroad. Ms. Hamada also served as Assistant Director of the community children’s chorus Sarasota Young Voices. She shares her passion for music with her three beautiful children, Emma, Adam, and Joey.
