Praised worldwide for her captivating and affecting portrayals in genres ranging from opera to musical theater, jazz, and pop, American soprano Katherine Henly has performed with The Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Washington National Opera, the Royal Opera House Muscat, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Minnesota Opera, Opera San Antonio, Virginia Opera, the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the New York International Fringe Festival, and the O’Neill National Music Theater Conference.

Recent seasons saw her acclaimed New York City operatic début as the Woman in Daniel Schlosberg’s world premiere adaptation of Amanda Quaid’s The Extinctionist with Heartbeat Opera, her début at The Metropolitan Opera as one of the Niñas in their new production of Golijov/Hwang’s Ainadamar, débuts with Minnesota Opera and Opera San Antonio as Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia, performances with Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra as the soloist for Poulenc’s Gloria, with the Winston Salem Symphony and South Florida Symphony in Handel’s Messiah, and her return to Carnegie Hall as soloist in Fauré’s Requiem and Rutter’s Gloria.

In the 2026-2027 season, Ms. Henly will reprise the role of Clorinda in La Cenerentola in her return to Opera San Antonio. She will also make her début with The Phoenix Symphony as a featured soloist in their Holiday Pops Spectacular. www.katherinehenly.com
