Jeff Thurston (Violin) was a long-time resident of Washington, DC, where he played with the Alexandria Symphony, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, the National Gallery Orchestra, and Baltimore Choral Arts Society. Also in the DC region, he played dozens of musical-theater productions for Signature Theatre, Ford’s Theater, Arena Stage, Creative Cauldron, and IN Series. He is a founding member of and performs regularly with Red Door Chamber Music in Provincetown, MA. Since relocating to Florida, he has joined the Chamber Orchestra of Sarasota. Jeff graduated from Indiana University School of Music, where he studied with Albert Lazan and Henryk Kowalski. He also obtained his M.A. in Arts Administration at IU, and his arts admin career took him to Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and OPERA America. He recently retired from John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts after a 26-year tenure as Senior Accountant.
