Hailed by The New York Times as a “vibrant soprano…with a secure, appealing sound and eye-opening volume,” Rebecca Krynski Cox recently appeared with North Carolina Opera in their Opera in the Park season opening concert. Other highlights of the 24-25 Season include Mimì (La bohème) with Knoxville Opera & Wendy Torrance (The Shining) with Portland Opera. Recent credits include Leonore (Fidelio) Opera Company of Middlebury, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) Charleston Opera Theater; Mother (Amahl) Dayton Opera; Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) Indianapolis Opera; Stella (A Streetcar Named Desire) FGO; & Julie Jordan (Carousel) Indianapolis opera, and Mimì (La Bohème) at Florida Grand Opera. At the Luzerner Theater in Switzerland, she sang Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Elisabetta (Maria Stuarda), Alice Ford (Falstaff), Gretchen (Faust-Szenen), Raja (Dschungel), & Tatyana (Eugene Onegin). Previous notable performances include Violetta (La traviata) Kentucky Opera; Micaëla (Carmen) El Paso Opera; & Cynthia (Two boys) in the final workshop of Nico Muhly’s premiere at The Metropolitan Opera.
