Aaron Romm served as Co-Principal Trumpet of Sarasota Orchestra from 2021-2023. He has had the great privilege of performing as a soloist, conducting masterclasses, and lecturing throughout the United States, Europe, South America, and South Korea.
Growing up in a musical family fostered his love of chamber music. Aaron performs internationally with his parents, trumpet legend Ronald Romm and Steinway Artist Avis Romm in the Romm Trio, a unique two-trumpet-and-piano ensemble.
Dr. Romm currently teaches trumpet at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, and serves as a clinician for Sarasota-area school music programs. He feels strongly about mentoring the next generation of young musicians and is thankful to have a positive impact in their musical lives. His former students have earned honors from prestigious conservatories such as the Curtis Institute of Music, hold positions with ensembles such as the Grant Park Festival Orchestra, and have won major competitions.
This past July he proudly joined the world-renowned Summit Brass and faculty of the Rafael Mendez Brass Institute in Denver, CO.
