Celebrating the Past, Endowing the Future

Founded in 1985, Key Chorale has enjoyed thirty years of presenting beautiful choral music. This year we are delighted to invite you to celebrate our 30th Anniversary with us. It will be a year filled with innovative programming that honors our past and sets the stage for endowing our future.

Cirque des Voix™

In 2010, Key Chorale Artistic Director, Joseph Caulkins and The Circus Arts Conservatory Founder/CEO, Pedro Reis had a conversation about ways in which to create a show that would blend choral music with circus acts. On February 25, 2011, Sarasota audiences witnessed the awe-inspiring debut of Cirque des Voix™ and it has been a favorite ever since; performing to sold-out crowds and receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

Gayle Williams of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune said of the 2012 show, “Last year we saw the birth of something truly special and unique to the cultural traditions of Sarasota – Cirque des Voix, a powerful blend of live choral and orchestral music with the daring and entertaining performance of live circus artistry.”

In addition to our season Key Chorale has a long history of collaborating with other arts organizations. This season Key Chorale is collaborating with the Sarasota Ballet and the Sarasota Orchestra.

In December, WSMR Radio listeners will have the opportunity to hear a special Holiday Concert and on December 12, the Chorale will perform at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in a Christmas Concert.
